Blackberry desktop software hangs startup

I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.

While trying to update my apps this morning, the hung up, as did the Desktop software. I rebooted both. The device works partially but I am missing key features like the browser. When connecting to the device through either the desktop software of the web, I enter the password, which appears to be accepted, then the device hangs again.

I can't update or remove the software. I get connectivity through 3G but have no browser. I have made no changes or updated any software. Verizon is not aware of the issue I was running it for like 2 weks and it was fine, all I use it for is to backup my phone.. But today I tried installing an app through the BB Desktop Software, whenever I click on the applications seciton, it just says reading device applications I am thinking of installing v I just got this Blackberry on Dec 31, ' I installed the DM software from the CD and now I was going to attempt to synchronize my phone with the desktop for the first time.
